Book Club-in-a-Bag!

The Nashville Public Library now provides "Book Club-in-a-Bag" kits to book groups. This gives you the opportunity to conduct book discussions like those that take place at the library—but with Book Club-in-a-Bag, you can do it wherever and whenever you like.

We now offer a selection of 50+ book club titles, and the list will grow over time. Each is packaged in an attractive and convenient canvas tote bag. The book bags are available in several genres: Southern fiction, Sci-Fi, Romance, African American fiction, Mysteries, Contemporary Christian fiction - a little something for everyone.

Each bag contains:

• 10 copies of a book
• Discussion questions for the book
• Author biography
• Tips for starting a successful book club

How to Borrow a Book Club-in-a-Bag:

• Bags may be checked out for six weeks. They are not renewable.
• The kit will be checked out on the library card of the person picking up the bag. That patron is completely responsible for the bag and all of its contents.
• No more than 1 kit may be borrowed at one time by a patron.
• You may place holds on the kits through our catalog.
• Overdue fines are $2.00 a day. Kits that are returned incomplete will be fined $2.00 a day once the due date is reached until the missing part is returned.
• Replacement cost for an entire kit is $125.00. The replacement cost of individual parts of a kit will depend on the cost of each individual item.
• The Book Club-in-a-Bag kit must be returned with all its contents at the same time.
• You may return the kits at any branch within the Nashville Public Library system. However, kits must be returned inside the Library (please do not put them in a bookdrop).
