Overdrive Downloadable Audiobooks & eBooks

Loan Rules:

  • 10 audiobooks/ebooks may be checked out at one time.
  • 25 Overdrive audiobooks/ebooks may be placed on hold at one time. Titles do not count towards normal 10 item hold limit.
  • Check out period is 2 weeks. Titles do not count towards 25 item check out limit.
  • Items may not be renewed.
  • Audiobooks cannot be checked out by more than one person at a time.
  • Many audiobooks may be burned to CD. They will stop working at the end of the check out period.

Audiobook Requirements:

Library Card

Personal computer

Audiobooks cannot be downloaded to library computers. You may download and listen on your home PC.

Overdrive Media Console

Software Media Player

You will need one of the following:

  • Portable device media software
  • Windows Media Player v9 and above
  • Musicmatch Jukebox v8.2 and above
  • Nullsoft Winamp v5 and above

Portable Listening Device (optional)

Overdrive's eAudiobooks can be listened to on a wide range of portable devices, including portable music players, portable media centers, Pocket PCs, and even select smartphone devices. Compatible Devices

CD Burner (optional)

Overdrive's eAudiobooks may be burned to CD. Once the checkout period is over, the CD will stop working.
