Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last couple of years, there is no way haven’t seen or heard about the one and only Travis Scott. From his Super Bowl and Grammy performances, you can’t mention his name without thinking extremely dope music. Whether you know him as La Flame, Cactus Jack, or better yet Travis Scott, his influence and talent are all over the music charts both on the track and behind the scenes. Travis Scott is a certified musical genius in my book and you should keep reading in order to see why…
Travis Scott’s music Catalogue is INSANE!!! His resume’ game is super strong. I thought I knew a lot about his music, but when researching for this blog, I soon realized I had only scratched the surface. He has worked with just about everyone big in music right now—Drake, Rhianna, Miguel, Kendric Lamar, Sza, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifa, Migos, Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug, Justin Beiber, DJ Khalid, 21 Savage, T.I., Post Malone, The Weekend, Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and way more than I could even name. He sprinkles his sauce on music and it turns out to be a certified banger. Put his name in your search engine and I guarantee you will find a plethora of amazing tunes that will soon be on your fav list. Don’t believe me? I‘ve added a couple of sample tunes below…(Thank me later)
I’m sure that all would agree that good music makes stirs emotions, but GREAT music transcends that to the extent that you can actually feel it in your body. Honestly I never had that euphoria until listening to Travis Scott. Going beyond the borders and boundaries of what the cliché rap or hip-hop sound, he uses all these layers of samples, sounds, instrumentals, ad libs, and absolutely amazing bass to create a whole experience that is so very hard to translate into words. I’m actually getting excited just by talking about it—which is rare for me when discussing music :). Most artists, if ever, to be frank, happen to strike that type of gold once, maybe twice. However Travis has managed to make this a consistent fixture of his music. By no means is there a shortage of it. He has three studio albums Rodeo, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, and his most recent AstroWorld. Not to mention his three mix-tapes( one of which is Travis La Flame) or 4 Eps. I can almost guarantee you will have them in heavy rotation. I even included my favorite song from each album! (You’re welcome!!)
My fan obsession for Travis Scott finally came to head when I got to attend the “Wish You Were Here” Tour back in March. It was the best show I’ve ever been to in my life!! The whole vibe and concept in the show were otherworldly and I loved every minute of it. The roller coasters, the lighting effects, and stage presence definitely lit the crowd ablaze as the ever-intrinsic bass of the music created a whole out-of-body experience. You could literally feel every note in the nerve endings of your soul. Seeing people of every color, age, and creed reciting every single word to every song created a whole vibe that I’ve never seen before. It was, for lack of a better word, amazing!! I had the time of life and it most definitely made me a solidified die hard fan of the one and only Travis La Flame. If I could go back and relive it, I would do it in a heartbeat!!
I could keep going on and on about how on-fire Travis Scott is, but needless to say, La Flame so lives up to his name!!
