A strong library system is the heart of a strong city. At the Nashville Public Library Foundation, we invest in programs that help the library empower our community, ignite children’s imaginations, and foster lifelong learning throughout Nashville. Thanks to private donations, sponsorships, and partnerships, we are able to provide our neighborhoods with vital opportunities at no cost to participants, cultivating a better future for everyone. Internships and Library Practicum

Nashville Public Library offers a variety of unpaid internships for college undergraduates and graduate students. Internships are thoughtfully constructed, focused, short-term projects, supervised by library staff who mentor and guide students. Students apply their academic interests and skills in a workplace setting, while exploring personal and professional goals.
