On Saturday, April 13th, Metro Archives hosted the opening program and reception for our latest exhibit: "Nashville's Magellan of the Air: 100th Anniversary of the First Flight to Circumnavigate the World."

Featuring Capt. Bob Henderson (USAF retired) and Ridley Wills II, the event offered an engaging hour-long discussion on the pioneering first aerial flight around the globe in 1924. They delved into the story of "Smiling Jack" Harding, a charismatic Nashvillian who played a pivotal role in the journey.
